Emily Kline, PhD

MILO Director

Dr. Kline is a clinical psychologist, an assistant professor of psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine, and the director of psychological services for the Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis Clinic at Boston Medical Center. She is an expert on early intervention in psychosis and the needs of families dealing with mental illness. Her research focuses on mental health care access, treatment outcomes, and family communication. Bediha Ipekci, phd

MILO Psychologist

Dr. Ipekci is a psychologist at Boston Medical Center. She completed her PhD at the University of Massachusetts Boston and her doctoral internship at Boston Medical Center’s Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology. She is an experienced practitioner and teacher of motivational interviewing.

Emily is a Boston University senior who runs the MILO instagram account! She is passionate about young adult mental health and using innovating platforms and teaching strategies to spread great psychological science.

Mary Gupta

Heather Thibeau

Clinical Research Assistant

Heather is the lead research assistant for MILO studies. She found her love for psychology while studying at Stonehill College in Easton, MA. She has worked in research at Bradley Hospital in Providence, RI and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Previously, she co-developed an MI intervention for adolescents at risk of developing substance related disorders. She is the first point of contact for any MILO research or training requests and can any questions you may have.
